North Banat District is located in northeastern Serbia and covers an area of 2,329 km2 with the administrative center in Kikinda. It covers also Kanjiza, Senta, Ada, Coka and Novi Knezevac.
Kikinda is another big agricultural area of Serbia and the center of clay production with a leading factory "Toza Markovic", the oldest clay producer.
This culturally rich area is the place where the first Serbian printing house and library were founded in the late 19th century.
Kanjiza is another economically well developed area with tiles and ceramics factories as well as paprika processing companies.
