Herzegovina-Neretva
Access to the Adriatic sea

The Herzegovina - Neretva canton is the only entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina with access to the Adriatic sea. It runs along Neretva river valley and the city of Mostar is its administrative center.

Mostar is very well known for its bridge built by Turks called "Stari Most", but reconstructed in 2004. Other cities in the canton are Capljina, Konjic, Jablanica.

The famous Marian Shrine Medjugorje is also part of the canton and it is a big tourist attraction.

The city of Mostar has some of the largest corporations and financial institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. And, this area is an important tourist destination, which is served by an international airport and numerous trains and buses.
