Contradictory trends from the Labour Force Survey and RAD survey data.

While the Labour Force Survey data indicate an increase of the employment rate, the RAD survey suggests the number of employed in Serbia is decreasing. So, what can we say about the employment trend in 2013? In short, stagnation of formal employment, matched with growth of informal employment. The important thing is to bear in mind both the LFS and the RAD when analysing labour market trends, and to understand the differences in what they measure and how they measure it.
